Age UK Mobile Phones are sold and supplied to customers by OwnFone Limited (English company no 08802990) in association with Age UK Trading CIC.

Age UK Trading CIC (English community interest company no 01102972) is a trading subsidiary of Age UK (English charity no 01128267) and donates its net profits to Age UK.

Through its sales of Age UK Mobile Phones, OwnFone will raise £10,000 during 2016/17 for Age UK Trading CIC.

We now use a fully roaming SIM in all our products.

 

We know that you want to be able to use your phone - wherever you are.

 

We now use a SIM with a conventional UK mobile number with automatic access to O2, Vodafone and EE networks. Our network automatically selects the strongest signal available meaning our devices and customers can communicate almost anywhere.


We are updating all Age UK Mobile Phones customers on to in new network the next few weeks and have setup a helpline for the purpose on 0800 669 6677. We will be emailing or writing to all customers over the coming days.

 

 

We have three types of Airtime Plan:

Monthly Plans Customers on Monthly Plans receive a monthly statement with itemised billing. Payments are automatically collected 14 days after the bill date - by Direct Debit. 

Many people choose the 50 minute per month plan, costing just £7.50 per month, and it is very easy to move up to 100 minutes or 500 minutes per month if required.

Top Up Plans (PAYG) are paid in advance by debit or credit card, or by Paypal. Top up users do not receive a monthly statement and cannot use more minutes than have been pre-paid.

 

Top Ups have an expiry period, and require more self-management than other plans. In the longer term most of our users find it is easier to go onto a Monthly Plan or one of our 6 or 12 Month Plans.

 

6 and 12 month Plans Are the most cost effective way to buy our airtime as they are discounted from the monthly plan price. These plans are paid in advance by debit or credit card, or by Paypal. The minutes rollover if not used, and can be used at any time within the life of the plan. 6 and 12 month plan users do not receive monthly statements but we contact you before the end of the plan with advice and a suggested plan for renewal.

 

Our 12 month x 20 minutes per month plan represents exceptional value for money, costing just £50.00 for a whole year (less than £1 per week). This is a very popular choice for customers who are buying an OwnFone mainly for peace of mind, and for users who do not not make many outgoing calls - possibly receiving mainly incoming calls.
